An active family with 4 children wanted a formal dining room that would meet all their wants and desires. A granite top in Madura Gold with an ogee edge sits on hand carved pine pedestals creating the perfect dining table with extreme durability as well as beauty. The homeowners collection of antique maps from around the world inspired a British West Indies theme for this space located on the coast of North Carolina. Maps and a lovely tapestry adorn the walls which are painted in a warm yellow above the chair rail and a deep brick red below providing a warm and inviting space with lots of drama. A lovely bronze chandelier replaced the dated brass figure and a hall chest and mirror complete the space.
